Simple Project Management for Learning and Development with Lou Russell

Lou Russell

L&D professionals often lead high-value projects that are cross-functional in nature.  Lou Russell has a simple and effective method to clearly define the project so all stakeholders understand the project charter and everyone's role.  You will receive a Project Charter Template to work through during the session. Lou will walk us through what is involved in project management for the kind of projects we do.

Join us for this practical interactive session with the always engaging Lou Russell!

    Session Description

The purpose of this short workshop is to provide you with a way to improve project management success for L&D projects and learn how to:

    • Create a project schedule with tasks and duration
    • Create due dates for project tasks by working back from the due date
    • Leverage a Scope Diagram to determine milestones
    • Determine Task Dependencies – what order are the tasks?
    • Determine Resource Dependencies – what people are needed to help?
    • Keep an eye on mitigating risk and building a communication plan
    • Create a governance plan (change management) to drive prioritization while the project is built.
